The Sixties Plus – Friday & Sunday 26th – A very special show

There are two editions of The Sixties Plus coming up during the next few days. On Friday afternoon at 1.00 I’m here and then on Sunday morning I’ll be back at 10.00. Sunday morning is going to be the new home for the show and this week I’ll be joined by sixties singing star Dave Berry who had a number of hits including “The Crying Game” and “Little Things”. Cotswold Country 16th March 2013

This week on Cotswold Country we celebrate what should be one of the greatest weekends in Country music in the UK for a very long time . In conjunction with BBC Radio 2 and the O2 Arena in London the Country2Country music festival takes place this weekend 16th and 17th March 2013 and features some of the biggest superstars of Country Music ever to be assembled in the UK .

We will be playing tracks from Tim McGraw , Vince Gill , Little Big Town , Leann Rimes, Kristian Bush from Sugarland , Carrie Underwood , Darius Rucker , and Brantley Gilbert all starring at the event over two Days .

Also as usual at around 12.15pm we take our weekly look at the US charts and then at around 1.00pm the easy listening segment features four tracks one each from Tim McGraw , with his wife Faith Hill , Darius Rucker , Leann Rimes and Sugarland .

Then at around 1.30pm the Classic Segment features four tracks one each from Dolly Parton , Jim Reeves , Kenny Rogers and Marty Robbins .

So we do hope you can join us for some if not all of Cotswold Country this Saturday 12.00pm -2.00pm on NCCR .
