Cotswold Country Saturday 12.00pm -2.00pm 25th May 2013

This week on Cotswold Country we feature the latest album from the maestro himself Mr George Strait

“Love is Everything ” released on the Humphead Country label ( check out the extensive catalogue at humpheadcountry.com) on 27th May in the UK and features his latest single “Give it all we got tonight “ which is currently sitting at the top of the Mediabase radio spins chart with 6997 spins during the last seven days on 1700 country stations across the USA .

At around 12.15pm we take our weekly look at the US charts and will be playing this track plus others at the top of the Billboard charts both singles and albums .

Then at around 1.00pm the easy listening segment features four tracks two from George Strait and one each from Trace Adkins ( “Love Will” from his latest album of the same name ) and K T Oslin .

The Classic segment at around 1.30pm features four tracks from the 50′s from Frankie Lane , Chet Atkins , The Everley Bros , and Carl Smith ( “Hey Joe ” a track made famous much later by a very special guitarist who sometimes played his guitar behind his head )

No Boundaries

From today, Saturday 11th May, we welcome a new presenter & a new programme for NCCR. “No Boundaries” is presented by Henry Johnson from Shipston-on-Stour. Listen in each Saturday to hear lots of new music, interesting chat & lots of information about Henry’s new album out now.

Back On Air

Technical problems have been sorted and we are pleased to report that programmes are now back up and running.

Cotswold Country 27th April 2013

In a packed programme this week on Cotswold Country we will be featuring a brand new album from Eric Church currently at number five on the Billboard album charts and available on the Humphead Country label . (Check out their website humpheadcountry.com for a super collection ).

Recorded live in a stadium in the Carolinas “Caught in the act “ features many of his hits from the last few years and gives a great flavour of the current US Country music scene.

As usual at around 12,15pm we take our weekly look at the US Country charts Mediabase for radio spins and Billboard for spins and sales .

Then at around 12.30pm we will be talking to Tim Porter about the concert in the Sheldon Bosley Hub in Shipston on stour featuring that great local country band “Knoxville Highway “ on Saturday 27th April starting at 8.00pm .

The Easy listening segment at around 1.00pm features two tracks from Eric Church and one each from Emmy Lou Harris and Little Big Town and at around 1.30pm the Classic segment features four tracks one each from Waylon Jennings , Johnny Cash , Tompall Glaser , and Billy Walker .
