No Boundaries

From today, Saturday 11th May, we welcome a new presenter & a new programme for NCCR. “No Boundaries” is presented by Henry Johnson from Shipston-on-Stour. Listen in each Saturday to hear lots of new music, interesting chat & lots of information about Henry’s new album out now.

Back On Air

Technical problems have been sorted and we are pleased to report that programmes are now back up and running.

Cotswold Country 27th April 2013

In a packed programme this week on Cotswold Country we will be featuring a brand new album from Eric Church currently at number five on the Billboard album charts and available on the Humphead Country label . (Check out their website humpheadcountry.com for a super collection ).

Recorded live in a stadium in the Carolinas “Caught in the act “ features many of his hits from the last few years and gives a great flavour of the current US Country music scene.

As usual at around 12,15pm we take our weekly look at the US Country charts Mediabase for radio spins and Billboard for spins and sales .

Then at around 12.30pm we will be talking to Tim Porter about the concert in the Sheldon Bosley Hub in Shipston on stour featuring that great local country band “Knoxville Highway “ on Saturday 27th April starting at 8.00pm .

The Easy listening segment at around 1.00pm features two tracks from Eric Church and one each from Emmy Lou Harris and Little Big Town and at around 1.30pm the Classic segment features four tracks one each from Waylon Jennings , Johnny Cash , Tompall Glaser , and Billy Walker .

So we do hope you can join us for some if not all of Cotswold Country this Satruday 12.00pm -2.00pm on NCCR

The Morning Service Comes To Your Home

From this Easter Sunday North Cotswold Community Radio will be broadcasting the Sunday morning service each week from St David’s Moreton-in-Marsh. Those who are house -bound or anyone who would like to listen to a service of worship in their home will be able to by logging onto NCCR’s internet broadcasts. The morning service at St David’s will be recorded each week and then broadcast in full every Sunday afternoon at 4.30pm.

Reverend Stephen Wookey, Rector of St David’s commented, “This is a great partnership between the Church and NCCR, serving the needs of the community through the unique capability of radio to reach people who otherwise might find it impossible to get to church. It will also help those who are interested in finding out more but for whatever reason aren’t yet ready to take the step of actually coming to church. It’s exciting to know that NCCR can reach listeners all around the world through the internet – many of whom find it a great way of staying in touch with the community here”.
